Worked on the large frame tractor (HT-20) today. Decided to have a look at the PTO which was noisy. Removed the hood, battery, fuel tank, and battery tray. PTO idler was not inline with other two pulleys. There are two washer shims and they were both on the engine side pushing pulley away from engine too much (picture). The roll pin was against end of slot (I think it should be in middle to float). Bearing spun but was dry and noisy. Pulled shaft out (it barely fits with engine in) and used my press to get bearing out. Bearing (PN 1185064) is a 6203 (17 mm x 40 mm x 12 mm). Fun project.
Steps (using Ref No. from parts list):
Remove the hood, battery, fuel tank, and battery tray
Remove PTO belts, guard, belt guides
Remove extension spring #31
Disconnect the PTO lever from control rod (#pin 57) at dash
Remove cotter pins from arm pin #49
Slide idler toward battery side rotating #32 and #47 down
Slide Arm Pin # 49 out rearward below frame.
Rotate #32 to remove remove roll pin #29 from idler shaft #30
Rotate idler shaft #30 so pulley is on fuel tank side to slide Idler Shaft Bail #32 off shaft (as pictured)
Rotate shaft so pulley is toward battery side. It will come out of slot in frame.
Remove circlips and press bearing out.
