Wondering if anyone has ever converted their Hydro tractor to run off a foot pedal instead of the lever. I sawthat Norman from isavetractors.com did it to an Allis Chalmers or another brand. Wondering if it is possible with the MF Hydro setup.

If there is a thread on this topic please let me know. Nothing came up in my searches on here.

Thanks in advance!!!

Can't answer your question, I have both foot and hand control.  For mowing I like the hand control much better.  For front blade work, etc. the foot control is a bit nicer.  Hand control takes a bit longer to get used to.

It's possible, but I have no knowledge of your tractor.

I have thought about doing that my MF14 with the loader. I have not looked at doing it with a MF12. On the MF14 there is a shaft which goes in the frame on both sides that controls the hydro. I was thinking of remaking the shaft so that it is longer on the right side of the tractor and then mount a foot lever to the part of the shaft sticking thru the frame on the right side. I have it on my list but it is not anywhere near the top. .

After looking at a MF12 frame you could convert it over to a foot control. It would take adding a shaft through the frame rail and making a bracket to control the lever which runs back to the transmission. This is a picture of the control lever which goes to the transmission Capture.JPG

There is a Youtube video of a guy describing a loader that he built on a Massey 14.  He had converted that to a foot control hydro, said it was rather easy, but then for guy that can build a loader it probably would be easy.  Wether it's a Deere, Massey, etc, their are conversions out there.  Depends on a persons fabricating skill/tools/courage
