Just got back from taking the 2 granddaughter shopping for "day time" type fire works.  Stuff they can shoot off themselves.  They are 10 & 14 and the little one who was in day care is going on 5.  Daughters boyfriends' family always has a big fireworks get together for the 4th.  We will be there for that but the kids didn't have anything to keep them occupied prior to dark.  They picked out a good variety of stuff and should be a fun time.  At least I don't have to get things ready and supervise the whole show this year.   Last year the family spent close to $900 so who knows what they will have this year.   Should be a fun time.

You can’t even have never mind buy any fireworks here in Massachusetts. Not even sparklers. That doesn’t mean I won’t hear anything around here.

Legal to sell and buy in Iowa.  No restrictions on shooting them outside a city limits without a permit.  We never got to concerned unless we got several call on the same location.  Always figured the sooner they shoot them off the sooner it will get quieter.  BLM will probably find something wrong with fireworks also.

Highly illegal in Illinois. The folks from the Chicago area flood into Indiana to buy them. The fireworks stores have spies who radio back to the State Police waiting on the interstate.
