We usually don't get enough to mess with. Temps warm up and melt most of it.

I can't talk for all us Northernmost guys but I'll say after the 2nd or 3rd snow it's not that much fun anymore..!

Started applying some finish paint to things the last couple days. I got the back side of the blade primered.

Got some other parts done up.

And the first coat on the back side.

Gotta flip it over and prime then paint the front side. When it's dry enough, I'll flip it and finish the back side. This sucker is heavy!

Thinking about adding a 3-spool after the single spool. No way to just change the valve as the steering is in the way of the linkage. Unless I get real creative with it.

You should be able to get a two spool to fit, your 316 is just like a 318, just two horses and a spool short. You could also put a electric solenoid valve in the hydraulics and use a switch to select which function you want.

Except the 318 is power steering, not manual. And my 316 has a P220 in it.

Here's more on the painting. Front side:

Got it flipped over and another coat on the back:

Saved a couple decals, including this one:

Couldn't save the 2-legged deere, though.

Very nice job - hope you get some white stuff to try it out on but I imagine that you will probably only get to play in the dirt with it.

Since this blade is a heavy-weight, I decided to make something to hold it upright and let me move it if needed. Found some 3/8" X 1-1/4" bar stock. Added a couple 2 X 2 X 3/16"  angle iron and I have a decent stand! Before paint and tacked together.

Did the finish welding:

Got them painted and installed:

I'd have to have a different hood to make it right. With no shows going on down here, hard to find things, Like to find a 318 parts tractor and swap it all to it.
