I've decided I am going to build a pulling tractor from a jacobsen homelite(basically a ford lgt 145) I am putting a 32 hp kohler k399-2t 2 stroke inline two cylinder in it since it didn't have the original k321 in it it has a two speed hydrostatic shaft drive transmission in it I was wondering if you thought it was worth it or if I should use something else to build a puler It will have a wheel horse body on it.I was also wondering if it would be worth putting turbo on it in the future.

Go here....

http://gardentractor...s.com/index.htm

Read, Read, Read....This is a GREAT web site for GT Pulling.

BTW...You want hasrd gears....Belt and Hydro simply is not competitive. This fellow actually lists the Cub Cadet tractors you want to use.

the best cub to use is a 582 wide chassis throw the briggs away . you will need the bigger axles and carrier from  a newer cub like a 1440 cub get a heaving clutch and spring set up from https://vogelmanufacturing.com/
they are the best to deal with
