Hello,

I have a Sears Craftsman 853C and I would like your help in confirming the engine type. I believe it is a Tecumseh V60 (6hp)? A previous owner removed the name plate. I believe the engine is incomplete because I have the intake manifold (although the mounting flange in broke) and the carburetor, but I don't have the air cleaner or the throttle linkage. I have looked for pictures of the carb and throttle linkage system and haven't been successful at finding anything. I wanted to know if anyone has a good picture showing this area?  I would really like to get this engine running but I would need the rest of the carb system. Does anyone have these pieces for sale? Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

Looks like an identification tag on the plate near the steering column. A good picture of that could be of much help. that tag will likely have sears numbers on it that might lead to something in our manuals section, third tab from the left at the top of this page.

Does anyone know where I can find the parts to get this engine running? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
