One wants to go one way and one the other

Perhaps a test of having a dog and being a mother

Being pulled in two directions can make for a pose 

That doesn't work well for the direction you chose

Looks like she's invented the newest dance craze - " Doing The Touther"

I was born in the right generation.  A couple of swats on the tail end and behavior was positively reinforced.
