Wagner Little Giant 8hp cast briggs. All original.

CC 1440 freshly rebuilt 16hp briggs vanguard. Originally had a tired 14hp vanguard with over 2600 hours on it. Ran but smoked and rattled pretty bad.

CC 1541 18hp Kohler Magnum currently has 2400 hours on it but it's still running smooth and strong.

Sold my other GTs. Not enough storage.

I messed up,was in a bit of a hurry.  The Wagner is a Little Giant 700A with a 7hp Cast Iron briggs and electric start.

Most of my tractors are powered by cast iron Briggs & Stratton single cylinder engines, I've currently got two with the 16hp, and two with the 10hp.

I've owned Briggs, Kohler, and Wisconsin powered machines in the past but the Briggs engines seem to be the strongest and most durable. Wisconsin was good too but they're just too few and far between these days making used motors and parts expensive and hard to come by.

I've got a dozen or more spare engines on the shelf in the shed, most Briggs, so I'm set for a while if I ever need a spare.

Most of mine run 10 to 16hp cast iron Briggs motors.

(The BS cast iron motors always seemed to have a lot more grunt down low than the others, and they have one big advantage in that they use an updraft carb. If the needle ans seat leak, it doesn't fill the engine with gas).

I do own other brands, a few kohler 12 and 16hp singles, and a couple Kohler opposed twins but my favorites are by far the single cylinder briggs motors.
