When I started moving things to my shop I put them on pallets and crates, then covered them all with tarps since I didn't have a dried in roof, yet.

I was moving things around today so the electrician can install lighting on the east side of the shop and I came upon this:

It must not have been on the trailer that was stolen after all...

Wow, that's very fortunate albeit still a hard loss on the trailer. That's a big "hell yeah" tho. Glad you still have it. 👍

i got to checking and I discovered the engine is set up to run at 1,800 rpm... :wallbanging:

This won't work in my Bolens or Dayton--they're both hydrostats.  I wonder if it would work in my Case 444?  It only puts out about 10-12 hp at that speed, so the hp shouldn't overwhelm the Case pump.

Has anyone repowered a Case 444 with a diesel??

Get it running before you start feeling bad. It's very possible that you'll be able to throttle it. I have yet to come across one that couldn't be. I

I've had several of them that were governed and simply removed the throttle positioning solenoid and they worked just fine. The others  had a plain throttle stop that could be adjusted or removed.

Hopefully you won't prove me wrong.

That would be sweet on a Case I would think.

I started her up when I first got her... once I purged the injector lines she started fine and ran smooth. I'll have to check out the throttle stop on her.

I don't know if the generator works or not.  It had been either on an RV or as an APU for a truck and the area inside the electrical box had a lot of corrosion.  The start switch wire had corroded through, which may be why it was scrapped.

I'm a little torn... it's only 4kw, but would run forever.  I already have an Onan 10kw diesel genset, so this one may end up on one of my GTs...

Sweet little 3 cylinder motor. So the motor is actually an Onan diesel motor or just the genstator head.?
I'm unfamiliar with these.

The specs list it as an Onan engine, but it's made by Kubota.
