I built this bridge out of brass rod over 50 years ago and was glad when I finally could use it.

Sitting by itself, it shows up well enough even with it being the dingy brass color.

However, it isn't as easy to see with the big silver automotive bridge sitting next to it.

So I have decided to unfasten it from the layout and paint it.

First I cleaned it all off and primed it.

Are those rails Zinc? 

They are a kind of rubbery plastic so they can be bent fairly easy.

They were black but I painted them the silver color.
