Hi, I have a GTX 20 with multiple attachments which I cannot use at this time. I need to replace the PTO pulley as the spring steel fingers are deformed. I have the pulley in a machine shop to try and rebuilt it. Any help would be appreciated. I noticed an earlier post who was looking for GT2000/GTX20 attachments. If I can't resolve m problem I will be parting with my equipment:

48" mower deck

42 2-stage snow blower

48" front blade

33" rototiller

steel cab

All are stored indoors and have never been used commercially.

Thanks, Denis

Hello,

Do you have a picture of the situation?  I think I may be able to help you.  I have rebuilt the dual idler on my 5020H, but I also have some other parts.  Let me know, either PM me or just reply to the thread.  Too bad you are in CA, I am looking for a 2 stage blower.

https://www.partstre...ine-assembly-2/

It gives MTD part # 1772076

Ebay search shows a bunch from $102 to $320.

Can make 1 of those work? Just have to find 1 with the correct Shaft size and pulley size. You can always press the shiv out of the rear bearing and swap out your backing plate and brake plate if it won't bolt up the way it is.

I was able to adapt a JD Part # AM38624 clutch (Ogura # MA GT BN1) to my GTX with the Kohler engine.

Th JD unit has studs where the GTX unit has bolt holes, again the Kohler  engine.  Need to drill out the studs & the remaining holes line up.  Did both of my GTX's several years ago (leaky oil seals took out the coils) & have been working fine.

I found the info on the net but do not remember where.

The GTX's are too good to get rid of.

I replace the coil but it seems the spring steel fingers on the dual pulley are weak or deformed. PTO remains engaged all the time. Can't seem to be able to post a picture. Its the dual belt pulley that mounts ton the crankshaft. It has a friction disc that mates to the clutch face.

Thanks, Denis

Is this or part of this pulley what you are after?  I also have the bolts and springs.  As you can see in picture someone bolted it together to eliminate the coil and essentially made it direct drive.  I have since replaced the coil and restored it back to correct working order.  This is what I have remaining.

Let me know.
