Sorry, I am new here! I recently purchased a GT 18 I don't know a whole lot about it. Before i purchased it sat for quite sometime, it does have some carb issues.  I was wondering if anyone sells them new or if they are worth rebuilding? Thank you for your time!

Welcome to the sight. I have several Sears GTs With the Onan engines and every one had carburetor issues when I purchased them. Cleaning and repair has made them all function good except one. The fuel pump on the one had been buggered up so bad by a po that I couldn't salvage the pump. I resorted to a stand alone impulse pump mounted on the fire wall. This worked out fine and has been in service for a couple years. Those are a great tractor. I have one with a loader that gets used at least twice a week year round. Every one here likes pictures if you can post some you will likely get more response. Need pic help? Try this!

Were did you go for parts? Or did you just clean everything up and put it back together?

I took the carb off and someone had been in there, they attempted to make some home made gaskets. It’s obvious why it ran so bad. Does anyone know if/where parts are available?
