B&S model 12H802-2677-B1  vertical shaft

 

Wanted- recoil starter or starter housing (part# 691421, 497440)

 

rope guide must be in good condition

why not rebuild the one you have?  

 

That is if you have the broken one..

why not rebuild the one you have?  

 

That is if you have the broken one..

The issue is the rope guide has grooves worn in it.

I can still get them new

 

I've checked the new ones and they are a lot of money for what they are. Rotary and Oregon sell them for a lot less, but they don't make this part#.

Can you turn the worn part so it protects the rope again?  Just a thought..

Actually, it has two grooves on opposing sides. Amazing what a dirty rope can do to a piece of steel.
