Hello everyone.  I bought a EK-10, got it running.  When I try to shift into gear it grinds a little and doesn't move in any gear.  High speed matched set belts are installed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a freewheel ratchet inside the left [I think] rear wheel.  Make sure the 1/2 circle rod is out and not pushed in. It is spring loaded and should pop out when released.   If you can push the tractor [for lack of a better term] that is in neutral.  These tranny's grind if you aren't completely stopped and the drive belt adjusted to where the tranny input pulley is not turning when the clutch is down.

As Kris mentioned there is a free wheel handle that may not be engaged, the full owners manual is uploaded on the site here which shows how to turn it .

As for the grinding there is an adjustment on the clutch petal end for the cable as the brake shoe wears , or it means its time to replace the brake shoe if your still grinding

Figured out the driving issue. Took the assembly apart cleaned and painted it, works smooth now.  It was the brake pad, I have replaced that also but it doesn't seem to hit the two pully's.  I've adjusted the cable.  Have to look into it more to see if there is something hitting somewhere that is preventing the shoe from making contact.
