Had my nephew over to do some stump grinding. He's in the tree business and does grinding too.

He did the stumps I agreed to do some maintenance work on the grinder. Had to fix his throttle cable as he was using a rope to tie it open. Repaired his idle screw, new filters (which aren't cheap) oil, ect. Ended up calling it a wash. He was happy, I'm happy.. Check this grinder out. Pretty awesome. Don't know a lot about it other than it has a 30h.p. Kohler engine on it.

Quite a machine. I rented one years ago and did many stumps in one day. Nice working unit.

Haha, very true. I could ad many more things that would be gone too. Maybe another thread, as to not hijack this one. Cool tool tho, not cheap, but good money makers.

It's a two piece filter. One inside the other. Depending where you buy they're $30 a piece. Looking around on-line they can be had for around $20 for both. As good as Kohler's..? Don't know, but I did order the cheapies...we'll see. I know NAPA and KOHLER were some of the higher priced..

I looked into renting one also. Rentals around here were about $175+/- a day for a little one for 1 day. Not sure how well they worked but they were small. Then I still had to go pick it up and take it back.

I would say the big air cleaner is because it could get pretty dusty/dirty on some jobs and the air filter system is a Kohler universal one so covers many engine installations
