Good morning - it is 14°F and a beautiful sunny morning.  Got to see the sun come up as I removed the snow in the laneway that drifted into it yesterday.  There is a gentle wind from the south and temperatures should rise to 37° this afternoon so hopefully this will end snow removal duties for a few days as the snow that is there should develop a crust and keep it away from Mr. Winds tempting grasp.  The road finally opened this morning about 4:00 am according to the OPP tweets so maybe I can sample someone else's cooking today for a change when I venture into town.  Took a few pictures of the mild winter results we were having until last week - the first two are what greeted me yesterday morning (not the best quality since it was before sunrise) and the rest are after clean up this morning.  Hope they don't make anyone envious of the "fun" we get to have each year with the white stuff.  Up until last week the snow on the ground around the apple tree (in the last picture) was only about 4" deep and the drift that you can see in the fourth picture wasn't there - amazing what a nice steady breeze for a couple of days can move around and pile.

Good morning!  Does anyone else remember the cartoonist Al Capp of "L'il Abner" fame? He originated Sadie Hawkins Day, when the unmarried ladies of the area could, without shame, chase, catch and marry the bachelors, but only on Feb. 29. Was a big deal back in the late fourties and the fifties, never hear of it now. Women's Lib seems to have ended all that, lol.  anyhow, this Sadie Hawkins Day dawned cloudy and -8C., up to -2C. now and promises to warm even more as the day progresses

Don't remember Al Capp but I do remember there was a Sadie Hawkins dance every year around the end of February during my High School years - because of my size / shyness I was not chased as no one wanted to catch me so I usually ended up on bouncer duty.  As the song says "The times they are a changing".

Is March coming in like a lion or a lamb?  Here it seems to be a ram lamb, not fierce enough to be a lion, but a tad boistrous,  snowing a bit, and breezy.   It was -10C. at dawn and "they" say it will get above zero later on in the day.

Greetings - it is 39°F and still dark outside.  The guessers say we will see a high of 38° and partly sunny so I guess we beat the high already.  The wind was howling last night around midnight but had dropped back down again - will have to check the laneway at daylight to see if it drifted in again.

Morning All! It's 49F (10C) out there. Only warming to near 55F (13C) thanks to cloudy skies and gusty NNE winds.

"They" lied yesterday as it didn't get above zero all day.  Close, but no banana!  Today again dawned overcast, breezy and -10C. with a light, sifting snowfall.  The breeze is taking care of accumulation and piling it in strategic locations.

Morning! 41F (5C) at this hour. Partly cloudy and light NNW breezes will let it warm to 68F (20C) this afternoon.

Good morning - it is 28°F and the sun is shining at the moment.  There is very little wind so while February went out like a lion March is being a very gentle lamb so far - hope this isn't a sign of payment required at the end of the month for waht we are enjoying now.  The guessers say a high of 36° and snow later on this afternoon - will see how that plays out.

I am sure that the "strategic locations" that the wind is putting the snow for Oldedeeeres is not where she would put it if she had a say in the matter.  Got to love it when Mr. Wind and the Snow Fairy decide to play a game of hide and seek.

You got that right Stew, the wind packed that loose drifting right into my foot-deep  paths!  Today dawned bright and cheery, but -15C. With the sun things should warm up to thawing at least.

Good day - it is 31°F and the sun appears to be making an appearance so far this morning.  The guessers say a high of 36° with a westerly breeze and a mix of sun and cloud.  Hope all the members around the Nashville area are safe and sound after what they got hit with.

Greetings - it is 29°F and the sun is shining once more.  Looks like a beautiful day as there is very little wind.  Looks like a high of 37° and turning cloudy this afternoon according to the guesseres.  For this time of year it is definitely a keeper.

It was -5C. at a cloudy dawn today.  Should clear the plus digits by noon, and we'd better enjoy it, "they" say we're back into the double minuses for daytime highs by next week.
