Before ordering any parts, take the top covers off and see if the timed pulleys have any life left in them.  They are a type of a composite and top of the teeth should have a flat top.  If they come to a sharp point, then they are almost totally worn out.  I'll try to find out the bearing cross references.

Plan on swapping out engines on it tomorrow until I can go thru the old engine.

My uncle gave me a running engine for the 85 and I'm going to fix it for the kids to use.

Didn't do it today. Their friend brought his little brother along and he don't obey that while so it was too risky to have them working on it today.

Finished the ZTR and the riding mower I'm selling today so this weekend I will start on the engine swap.

I'm starting to think I want to go a different route then going back stock. I'm thinking candy apple red with metal flake on the hood , fenders and engine shroud. 

Chrome paint on the wheels and the grill. Since the tank is cracked going with a stainless steel tank also a custom exhaust. I'm leaving the rest stock no upgrades to the engine or pulley swap all it going to be is a trailer queen.
