I guess they're kinda rare.
Has anyone ever adapted a deck off a MF14/16 (510 deck) to one of the
1--- series tractors?

Can't be too much.
I'm thinking of selling the 1450, but figure it'd go better with a deck.
Those 4210 decks have those timed belt/pulley set up don't they?

On Wed. I'm going to slide one of my 510 decks under the 1450, to see whats involved.

Ya, they do have the clogged/timed pullies and belts. I've been thinking of trying to convert a deck like the 510 under my 1650 myself. good luck with yours! I'd love to see the results!

I think it's very doable with out too much grief.
All the hanger points, and lift points look to be almost identical.
The biggest issue, is that in using the mule drive from the 510 deck, it has some
interferrence issues, as the front axle mount location is different between the
MF14/16 and the 1450/1650.
A bit of alteration to the 510 mule drive, and it should work.
I'm going to tackle this, but not for a few weeks.
I'll post as I get going on it.

I altered the 510 mule drive. Before and after pics.
Also got deck hanging. It's going to work, I believe.
The one thing I'm not happy about, is not having the rear stop/support
on the mule drive. It's a tight fit getting the altered mule drive on there,
so I'll have to noodle up an alternate method to support/stop.
More pics later.

Haven't cut any grass yet, because it's still white.
Also, the belt I have is about an inch too long.
Had to noodle away the hanger brackets that bolt to frame.
Some other stuff was in the way. No big deal. Used the hanger brackets
from the MF14.
Also had to space mule drive out from frame another 3/8" to acheive
alignment with PTO. (so a total of 5/8")

So you've ran it & belts align & stay on pullies fine? All looks great to me! BTW...the MF510 deck is the identical deck (sheel & spindles) used on the Allis Chalmers 416, with exception of the lift system & lawn rollers.
Yes, ran it for about 10 min. in the shop.
I'd like to get a bit more tension on the belt.
Right now I've got a MF belt on it. 92"
I've ordered a 91", which will tighten things up, and also raise the pulleys on
the mule drive a bit. They're a bit low now, and not level with the drive
pulley on the deck.
Hopefully the shorter belt will fix that isue.
This was all done off the hip.
A bit of grinding, torching, die grinding, and hammer tapping.
No patents pending.

Runs good and smooth. Also did a quicky paint job to the deck.
Wanted to take it out today, and give it a real test run and chop
up some sticks, but look what happened.(second pic) Will this
weather ever change.
