Did a little more work on the mower since all is well with it (keeping fingers crossed).  I did an oil change and a cosmetic clean-up leaving it in great condition to put to work.

Just another quick update.  Grabbed this machine, set the throttle and it roared to life on the first pull.  It definitely has good compression and ran like a top.  Other than figuring out the best place to set the throttle on a warm start it is great.

Again, thanks to all for your help and to Brian for his help with parts.

Used this machine again yesterday and it worked great other than it is hard to start when it is hot.  Not sure what it is but once it is going it runs great and does not skip a beat.

Bringing this one back.  The push handle has been broken and I have not used this in over a year.  Due to some more recent acquisitions this one is looking for a new home.

"dodge trucker" has this on his radar.  I wonder if he wants this and the Snapper in a package deal?     :bigrofl:

I dunno I'm getting the "no more" spiel... Depends on how long it takes me and my son to teach his girlfriend to PAY ATTENTION when she mows their Yard, and to NOT hit things in the way.

That is, without scaring her away from sharing in the yard maintenance department

Wellllll......

I have 2 leaving via the scrap pile, 1 with a bent crank with a Deck that isn't the greatest, and everyone's favorite my 40 year old fabricated deck Roof push mower, spent the last couple of nights cutting and welding new metal into it, and burning through everywhere, then find out it is Swiss cheese across the top of it, not worth putting any more time, MIG wire or welding gas into it, so with 2 leaving, I might be able to sneak 1 replacement in,,, and with this Deere being an exact twin to my most recent acquisition, maybe she won't notice that I actually would have 2 of them?

After being given a very nice 2012 Toro 22 Personal pace with a Briggs Quantum on it, I decided to rehome this and the other vintage push mowers in the shed.  This one is pending pickup from a local Deere collector who offered more than I was asking if I help it til tomorrow.  Dumped gas in the the carb, gave it three pulls, and it started right up and ran great yesterday.

I hoped to get this to Dodge Trucker but it seems timing is not working in our favor over the past year. I am glad 2019 is gone and looking forward to 2020 going the way of 2019.  At least the job situation has improved.
