they built a prototype 4x4 but was never put in production most likely because they cost to much for anyone to afford and i dont they cought on they were to ahead of there time... on the other hand the estatekeeper was a big success for bolens so.. im guessing the price was the biggest issue with the gk... ashame really with 4x4 it would have been much better they like to crab steer to the right when your pushing alot of dirt or snow

How do you know they built a prototype 4x4? Does antone have any solid info on it? I’d love to see it. Very cool.

Sam passed away a little more than a year ago,maybe someone else knows the answer to your question
