I found an ebay shop that sells replacement fuel cap/ gauge does anybody know what the size and thread count is on these tanks or at least some thing from his list that might fit??

Unfortunately my gauge portion is gone completely might as well replace the whole thing I can measure the throat size how does one measure the the threads it might be 2-3 per inch LOL very fast threads

There should be only one that is threaded and the other style is call "Kelch" which has to ears on it like old gas caps used to have.
You would need the threaded style. The length would be the critical thing.

Ducky, the caps with extra large threads on the Masseys, JD 300's, and many others is called "Kelch".
