I love the hobby the parts and the peoole involved. A bunch of grown men playing with their toys...its great. It will be even better when my carb gets here so I can drive my toy.

Still won't work! I tried it this year, had to bum cash from my kid. These things are too addictitve!

NICE LOOKING MASSEY I LOVE MY 1450 IT PULLS MY 14 INCH BOTTOM PLOW NO PROBLEM, COWHAND GOING OVER TO MY BROTHERS TOMMORROW TO CHECK OUT THE REED ASSEMBLY, ALSO WILL CHECK  THE DIPSTICK HE SAID HE HAD A TRICK FOR THAT . DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS ! BAIRLEAFARM GOOD LUCK WITH SUCH A NICE GARDEN TRACTOR...

The carbs are a little different. What's the best way to get a linkage working on this? Should I try to get the ball off the old carb? Or shorten the wire linkage?

I'm sure this is why the engine is smoking. Throttle plate screw on the old carb probably went through the motor

The fuel pump was bad so I pulled it off the other engine. Lots of metal shavings around the pump.

Looks like I'll be doing all mechanical work this winter and no refurbing

The balls usually come off pretty well, a little filing and then JB weld / peening to hold it back in place.

The choke cable is to short but at least I got to drive it around. It seems to not want to stay in high range.
