I hope the aim of the police is true and no one else (innocent) is harmed.  Their victims are in my thoughts.

Read this a little earlier that one of the victims close to the 1st blast and who lost both of his legs saw the #1 suspect coming towards him with the backpack and put it down. He said that they made eye contact and he (vic.) can I.d. While he was coming out of some medication from his surgery he wanted to tell someone what he knew and got a pen and paper and wrote that he can I.D. but in the end it is the one that is dead.

brought to justice. For all those affected, my thoughts go out to you.

 

What I don't understand, is this total lockdown, of an entire city. The press

hipe, and attention surrounding this whole situation, is exactly what

terrorists thrive on. Why feed the fire?

Yes, the public must be protected.

I think a dangerous precedence is being set. Hopefully, other news seekers

don't get offended by the lack of attention that's been given to them, and

decide to pick up the pace.

 

I'm not saying I have any better answers, on how this situation should be delt with.

It just worries me that this, whole new method of city wide manhunt, scares me.

The thought that the terrorists, have brought it to this point, is very unsettling.

The police think he's in the city, so by cutting off/limiting the traffic in and out, he will be trapped and they can find him.

The uncle's speech today & his statement leads (at least me) to believe that he may know more than he says of the boy's activities or motives.  All of the suspect's friends and folks who knew him didn't suspect a thing..   I hope he is brought in alive and can provide his reasoning for this crime against innocent bystanders.  

 

As an MIT student he got to enjoy the blessings that our country can bring but will now suffer the consequences of his deeds.  I also fear growing anti-foreign sentiments among us will spark even more bad things to happen..

Why would it matter what he says.. Sounds like there was a turn around in his life.. but why would he even say anything at this point.  Death penalty..

Things could get out of hand in a hurry is all I'm saying G..  Yes..  I agree almost everyone (I included) is outraged and want's blood..  Look's like the kid got the desired results he wanted except for getting ID'ed and tracked down like a dog.  Everyone is on high alert and there have been Stopping trains, cars in N H, cars in Niagara Falls as Oldtimer said..

 

Is that Police-state mentality / existence what we American's desire & need?  I only wish them to both find the dude and put an end to the city-wide search & lock-down they are enduring presently without anyone but the guilty party getting hurt..   Hate breeds more hate and this world has way too much of it anymore..

And we all need to keep our cool here as well.  Not a one of us want things like this to happen, so that we all agree on.  The faster Boston can resume normal activities the better.  I sure hope this is resolved soon!  Boston is held hostage at this point.

Now they are saying it was just a boom, like a flash/percussion grenade.  Till they know things for fact, the news people really shouldn't speculate.
