Happy Easter folks. I just got back from our Easter sunrise service at Peggy's Cove on the rocky Atlantic coast. A perfect sunrise on a still, cold morning. Over 100 people there today which is a record. This has been an annual event since 1979 rain, snow or shine. Couldn't have been a nicer day for it!

Happy Easter to all! Brian that sounds like a beautiful way to start the day (both visually and spiritually).

I almost sat on an egg at the computer desk chair. And a real one, not one of those plastic ones full of M&M's.

He Has Arisen!
And so did we. Sunrise service in the rain at one of the local parks. Good turnout, excellent dramatization from some of the members.

Yes, it certainly was! I came home and got my wife then went back to the regular Easter service at 10:00. A very inspirational message was delivered by our Minister and the sun beamed into the church the whole time. It's the nicest day we've had this spring by far. Just checked my emails and there is one photo from the service. Our minister was joined by a Canadain Armed Forces Padre who delivered the message. You can see him with the white stole over his shoulder. Apparently it is some sort of tradition in the forces for the padres to remove their shoes in a situation like this. He delivered the message in his socks and it was -4C (25F). He was standing directly on the granite bedrock of the Atlantic coast. To the left of the picture is the often photographed Lighthouse.
