We just stumbled onto a site that might help use up some time for you. Try  King of the Obsolete  for a change of pace. Not all of us northerners are crazy, but it helps!

 

 

If your not that crazy then your the only one up here that isn't.. man there are a lot of crazies in Alberta.. hahahaha

Well it's Saturday

and we took the boys.

To a local place

called Out Back Toys.

 

They each got a certificate

worth $50.00 bucks.

To go buy farm toys

implements and trucks.

 

We had some fun

then we came home.

Now the wife went shopping

me and the kids alone.

 

It's a really nice day

43* is the temp.

But inside with the kids

is where my time's spent.

 

Saturday morning cartoons

we giggle and laugh.

My how this day

is going so fast.

 

Soon time for lunch

we'll gather to eat.

So for now I will end

this poetic beat.

Ooooh I've been to Outback Toys!  I love that place!  It's a must see when you're in the area.  We were there this past summer.  Stayed in Akron at the Bellavista Bed & Breakfast.  We were so taken with Litiz when we were there.  We've been going out to Lancaster for years but never went up to Litiz until this past summer.  We'll go up there again for sure!

a small little town.

Stop by next time

and I'll show you around.

 

We'll go to Wilbur

to get chocolate buds.

Next to Toy Soldier

and have a few suds.

 

Stroll through the park

or walk down Main Street.

I think that you'll find

this town is quite neat.

 

You can make a pretzel

at the Stergis House.

It's full of History

worth learning about.

 

So give me a ring

when your passing through.

I'll sure be happy

to spend time with you!

it sounds really fine

I'd be glad to look you up

When we go away

our days are real full

Not much relaxation

and muscles are pulled

 

We'll see what comes up

or when it might be

I never really know

What area I'll see

 

As far as the suds

the point would be moot

as the only suds I do

is the kind with a root

 

I hope to take you up

on this special day

we would plan ahead

so as not to get in the way

 

My wife and my girl

like to see different things

Shoes, blouses, clothes

and all sorts of bling

 

All of these things

we can see here at home

it makes me frustrated

so I like to roam

 

So if we come your way

Again this summer

I'll contact you first

so my trip's not such a bummer.

What a beautiful Sunday

and the weather is warm.

I'd be out there playing if

this muscle wasn't torn.

 

My Broncos aren't playing

but I'll have a seat.

Colts or the Ravens

to Denver they'll meet.

 

I'm cheering for Baltimore

and hoping they'll win.

So Peyton Manning

can beat them again.

 

So the wife is working

the kids are out playing.

here in the house

again I am staying.

 

Designing a layout

for a tire rack.

Something to ease

the pain in my back.

 

Went to the garage

early this morning.

Just looked around

my mind started soaring.

 

So much to do

it boggles my brain.

Where to start

it drives me insane.

 

But this will all wait

as a new day is dawning.

must find something to do

to keep me from yawning.

 

Just found a puzzle to

test my patience and wit.

It will do for now

till I get tired of it.

 

So a puzzle and football

is planned for the day.

Just wanted to drop a quick line

to say Hi and hope your legs doing fine!

Got up this morning

and drove to work.

Made it to the office

but boy my leg hurt.

 

Behind the desk all day

nothing too tough.

Put up with the Boss

chewing my butt.

 

What did you do

what were you thinking?

When you did this

please say you weren't drinking.

 

I calmly exclaimed

that I don't drink.

No alcohol involved

and no time to think.

 

So the day continued

and finally came lunch.

The boss bought Pizza

I thanked him a bunch.

 

Got back to work

the day still lagging.

Was getting a little tired

my butt started dragging.

 

4:30 finally came

to the truck I was headed.

Thinking of my recliner

with my butt embedded.

 

So here I am

updating my condition.

Starting to heal up

at least I am wishing.

 

I'll see you tomorrow

like days of so many.

Maybe I'll get lucky

and even beat Kenny!

Well, it's been a while

since I've been here.

Got requested to post

by my friend oldedeere.

 

The calf is doing great

I'm finally getting around.

I'm taking my time

and no leaps or bounds.

 

Remodeling the house

a new kitchen in site.

Removed all of the plaster

wanna do it just right.

 

Tore out one wall

framed in a new one.

Plaster is so dusty

but I'm glad that I'm done.

 

Kathy's having a hard time

deciding on flooring.

Nothing real flashy

but yet not too boring.

 

Lenoleum of hardwood

or maybe even tile.

Don't matter to me

it's not needed for a while.

 

Cabinets will be maple

with a nice cherry stain.

Countertops are straight

and won't be a pain.

 

Appliances will be black

fridge, stove and such.

We looked at stainless steel

but they cost too much.

 

A recessed ceiling

with base and some crown.

Under cabinet lighting

on a dimmer shining down.

 

As for the backsplash

I'd like to do tile.

Hope I can still do it

for it's been a long while.

 

So here is your update

as you see I'm doing well.

I'll keep you posted

when there's more things to tell.
