Happy New Years to all. This year, instead of making some foolish resolution you won't keep anyway, I challenge you all to do this. Make your resolution to be a better YOU. You will always be what you're meant to be, not something you wish you were. Don't let people walk on you, control you, or make decisions for you. Don't follow people just because doing what you know is right may seem to hard. Strength, being a better person for your children & for yourself, that comes from being an adult & doing what's right when it's so much easier to do what's wrong. Stand up for yourself regardless of what others think and be YOU, be the person you should be......

Just My Opinion On Resolutions.....

Happy New Year folks. i don't make resolutions. On New Years I usually try to change something in my daily routine that isn't working for me.

I made a resolution years ago to be mad and upset with all my tractor friends. It works in reverse! Happy New Years!

New Year resolutions is simply setting yourself up for failure! Life just doesn't seem to let us live up to our dreams most times, so I just do the best I can most days. We all have those days we just want to muddle through, and that's AOK too.

I made a resolution years ago to not make any more resolutions. Ya know, that's the only one I've been able to keep!

I will take how each day comes.. Resolutions are set ups for a bad day/week/year. If i did as i wish... Well lets just say what we have right now is better then that.. I think WNY understands my general comment... Sorry..
Happy New Year all....

it seems what I have written may have been misunderstood.....now lets re-read....it was meant as a way of being REALISTIC for those of you that can't keep them and a way of setting a goal that IS within reach. So, based on what some of yal have replied with, am I to believe that you wish to NOT better yourselves???? hmmm, I am losing hope for the human race at a rapid rate. NOW, rather than being negative, lets try to look at this in a positive manner. we can ALWAYS better the person we are, for ourselves, for family, being better at what we do, being a lil bit nicer just because we are the better person in an unavoidable situation. I agree resolutions usually spell out failure.......thus the basis of my original post.....again, HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL, with blessings from my family to yours........

I didn't mean to come off as negative. Actually realistically speaking, one can't know for sure what is & isn't obtainable, simply due to things beyond our control. Doing the best I can on most days is within my reach. Reaching a particular goal isn't always obtainable. Yes, I can say I will finish a tractor restoration, but that isn't bettering myself at all. Even losing weight or something like that isn't bettering myself, just my physical health. "Yourself" is basically your frame of mind, and that can vary wildly from day to day. I do try my best every day to be a decent human being. Some days I succeed, other days I fail. Having a good sense of humor goes a long way, and smiling helps!

I think we all come off as negative sometimes but that's just our nature as human beings. We can't always take things the same as others. I wasn't "singling" anyone out just speaking in general. I hope no one took offense.
