I liked the Y2k panic, I got paid time double time, I was a contractor at the time, so I made $70 and hour to play on the computer for 3 hrs.

Saturday my brothers and sister are having a meal together and will exchange gifts at my older brothers home. As the weather changes rapidly here in Texas he sent us a copy of the extended forecast:

I can't believe how giving all you guys are, why in this thread alone there are over 10 offers of permanent storage of everyone's beloved machines to keep them safe during the pending mayhem.

I also remember the Y2K and 06-06-06 scares. The only thing I was worried about was uncalled for group panic and the safety of my friends and family.

06-06-06?....Please explain....Sorry, that one must have slipped by me.....I had just lost my job at that time, I guess I didnt really care too much at that point....lol

Could this be what the Mayans foresaw (they were only off one day of the original 12/12/12 date) to end their calendar? Our astute scientists certainly waited long enough to tell us about it's closeness to save us all the "tractor trading panic" of the end of days. "Passing inside the orbit of the Moon" is pretty close." I want to know ahead of time on the next one!

Must be the answer... Somebody showed up in Mayaland with a big jug of cold 2% and that was the end of the calendar. I know I'd have done the same thing! Say, did they have a "Mint Fudge Coated" calendar hid in the woods down there too, I'd sure be up for the expedition to find that!
