Serial # 1446 515684 Picked this up this afternoon, had been looking for another 12 Hydro for a long time now. I have only seen 3 for sale within driving distance under $300. missed out on the first 2 but I got this one, Paid $200.
Owner says previous to him SSI unit and stator burned up due to butchered wiring.
This tractor has the best nose ring I have ever seen only 1 tiny hair line crack in it.
Got this one to fix up and use for myself, has 4 different tires on it, engine is a replacement and feels tight inside, good solid mower deck with home made front wooden roller wrapped in sheet metal. Comes with a wonderful spot light???, no rips in the seat a really good steering wheel and center cap. I think this one spent a lot of time inside out of the sun.

Started working on the engine today found an almost brand new SSI ignition module in it plus a burned out stator coil. Guy I bought the tractor from told me stator and SSI unit N/G due to improper wiring. Replaced the stator with one I had in my parts box and the SSI unit test good. Going to put the motor back together, reinstall, rewire the tractor and see if I can get it running.

Oh ya for sure, there's a nice big bend in the hood where it's mounted, hopefully can be straitened out.

Nice looking tractor or sure! Looks like you got a great deal too! Very complete and even the deck looks good. It's a shame about the hole in the hood, but that can be fixed easy enough, it's a thick gauge steel which helps. But that lamp has to go! A little wax and some new shoes will get her looking great!

I'm not a hunter myself but I live right beside a wooded area with a river and there are dear around, also several dear stands around.
Kinda nice to see dear tracks every time I go for a walk in there.

That looks like a pretty good find Doug! It should make a nice project for you. Not a bad looking tractor but I think that cyclops headlight has to go!
