Here are my Bolens. As you can see in my signature, the 1256 needs some help when I get focused with some money. The 1253 runs like a top, but smokes like a chimney.

Here's CloudBurst III, the "Beauty". It's the nicest looking one I have. A 1256-02 with Ez-Vac system.

i have not seen many 1256 around here or just let alone hydro bolens tractors i was lucky to find my 1456 the only other hydro i have seen was a 1656 but there are a ton of g tractors around here and i like your front rims LOL i have a set of rims that i am getting widened to take 18/8.50/8 tires but i want to build my 4x4 tractor so thats out in the wind also i want to find a sickle mower for my tractors but let alone its hard to find mower decks up here in ontario and at the JD dealer there is a ez vac and a bolens wheel weight so i may try to negotiate on it if i can get the price right i will buy it cheers

I wouldn't say that they are super rare, more like rareish. They do show up on CraigsList from time to time. EZ-Vac made them for pretty much all of the major GT brands.
As to how it works...
=
One thing to note. The throttle lock on the 1256 doesn't work well and closed on me early in the vid, which stalled out the tractor. Also the deck needs new/sharpened blades.
we are in the process of restoring a ht20d. its always more work than what a person thinks!! i dont know if the pics came through or not, but, the ht20d is mine, the dozer is my father n law, and the rest are my sons. he(my son) started collecting 4 or 5 years ago.he will be 14 on the 25th of this month. he worked and saved money up to buy all of his tractors on his own. i am very proud of him!!
heres what we are up to now. the ht20d and the cc1200 we have restored since I first posted. yet to start on the cab, panzer and newly acquired deutz allis.
Here are some pictures of my collection - past and present -
I sold the Cub on the left to a friend of mine - although it was rusty is only had around 200 hours total on it. Man was it a great running tractor. The Super Cub on the right was a lot of fun as well. It had the optional power steering, steering brakes, and ran like a top (although it had over 3000 hours on the original Kohler Magnum!)
Grandpa's old 504 which now belongs to Dad and I
Grandpa's old HT20 that now belongs to me
My "resto-mod" HT23 which will not be put back to OEM specs
I couldn't find any picture of the Cub Loboy, our Cyclops Cub, or the BX24.. or the 1050,900, and 850 tube frames - somehow they have avoided my cell phone camera! I'll have to snap pictures sometime this week. Dad and I have to many projects and not enough time lol. I guess that's what happens when your neighbors with your parents on one side - and grandparents on the other...well.. not anymore - but always in thought.
