That's not a half bad idea Todd.

I was just thinking today how it would be cool to do a split hood when I do a pulling tractor.

I had actually thought of adding louvers, but would have to pay to have them punched in, so opted the cheaper method. The hood actually has some louvers nearer the dash OE. Nothing better than open sides for better cooling though.

A pretty close guess would be in the neighborhood of 1700 to 1800lbs, loader & bucket mounted.

Hey Daniel, Like the looks of the chopped hood. Makes it look more like the 1105-1155 series tractors. I never could understand why the manufactuers started enclosing the engine. Maybe saftey regulations.

Yep, it looks like our 2705 & our two 2745's now. I like it much better this way, more every time I look at it.

My ignition coil died for good. No more spares, so ordered a new coil, points, & condenser for a complete new ignition. Ordered from http://www.perr.com
They came in the very next day! Just installed them, and if I thought it ran good before...think again. Had some stumble at idle, but now smooth through the entire range.

nice work with the loader I sure would like to make one for my tractor.(1655) Just brought it home and used these forums to troubleshoot and set the carb just finished cutting the lawn with it for the first time
