Father son project

This is the finished project of a 6 month long complete tear down of our 1618. It was a pleasure spending time with my son and showing him how things work and come apart. We disassembled the whole tractor down to every bolt. it was all sanded or sandblasted and the hardware was replaced with all stainless. The old tired original motor was replaced with a brand new 18hp Twin cylinder Kohler with a shaft driven hydraulic pump. We had to stretch the front of the frame a bit and cut the sides of the hood a little bit but the power is unbelievable.

My (now in college) son and I were just talking about the winter we reassembled his MF10. He was so eager and worked so hard to get that tractor mechanically up and running again so he could take it to plow day.
