First off we want to thank Marie and Bob for hosting such a great show and also thank them for having us for the 16th Annual Little Guys Show. The show was held at Bob and Marie's farm in Mt. Wolf, PA on May 15th and 16th. They did a great job at keeping things flowing between the different events.
This years show featured Bantam tractors. On Saturday they started off with the tractor parade. We have video from the parade which you can see below or on our Youtube channel: Tractortalk. We apologize if anyone was missing from the video, we are working on getting better video equipment and editing software.
There were a lot of great tractors and about every brand was covered from Bantam, Case, Cub, John Deere, Panzer, David Bradley and more. There were also quite a few guys from the Wheel Horse Collectors Club in attendance.
I had a really good time and it was nice talking to a lot of people. We had a warm welcoming at this show from some people already knowing who we were. Bob had us set up our tent behind the pavilion where the tractors lined up for the parade. We have a ton of pictures from the show, you can see them in the Little Guys Show Gallery.
I managed to slip away for a little while and got some seat time on the Cub 147 to pull a couple times. Made me realize I need weights and I can't wait to get into it some more and dedicate a tractor to strictly pulling.
On Sunday it was the main event day. They started off with the tilling competition. If memory serves me right Bob said there were three guys that tilled the previous year and this year they had five of them. They all did a great job at tilling. You can see the video from the tilling below:
The next event was the plowing competition. I believe there were 20 people that plowed including my wife. It was her first time even driving the Massey 12G. The guys were a tremendous help. They helped us make last minute adjustments, draw the lines for her plot to be plowed. They even threw on a couple weights on the front for her. There were a couple walk behinds that plowed and also the David Bradley Tri-Trac.
I also managed to get some video of the Wheel Dan which I will do more coverage on at the Wheel Horse Show in Arendtsville, PA. It was very cool getting to see the tractor in person and being able to get some video of it in action. I plan on getting video of it loading a tractor at the Wheel Horse show and preferably not a Massey. Matt tried to see if I noticed his one picture he posted and I did, but being a Massey guy I just wasn't giving him the satisfaction of the joke LOL.
Here is the video of the Wheel-Dan:
I can't wait for the 17th Annual Little Guys show, I only hope that Bob and Marie will invite us back and we can get even more people to partake in a great event. There were lots of great looking tractors and everyone did such a nice job with them whether they were workers, restorations or resto-mods. You should all be proud of your machinery and we appreciate having a chance to check them out and take pictures.
Speaking of pictures, we know how you all love pictures and we took plenty of them, almost 400 pictures were taken. Don't forget to check them all out in the 16th Annual Little Guys Show Gallery.
Here is some clips put together that my dad had taken with his regular camera, he got me pulling and with my little girl and also my wife plowing.
See you all next year
