I want to start off by saying that we got to meet a lot of nice people and we especially want to thank the Wheel Horse Collectors Club for having us at the show. We also want to thank directly Charlie Culley, Jeff Kane, Don Kane, William "Wild Bill" Pearson. There are a lot of dedicated people working to make this show what it is. There were a lot of tractors there and an unbelievable amount of parts.
We ran in to a few familiar faces as well from previous shows and it was nice to talk with everyone. There are quite a few people that don't really know what or who we are but word is definitely spreading. It was great being able to take real video for the first time with our new hd camera and we got a lot of great footage. We have a morning overview video posted to our Youtube Channel; TractorTalk. It is a ten minute highlight clip to show what was at the show and you can watch it below:
I was amazed at the knowledge and memory that William "Wild Bill" holds, not just with the Wheel Horse tractors but also of the people he talks to. He doesn't just know the people's names but he knows their family member's names also.
We video taped the entire tractor parade on Friday and the guys were not kidding when they said it was about 2 hours long. Due to the length of the video we are going to split it into multiple parts to be viewed on Youtube and we are also going to offer the uncut version for download at a later time and we will update the article once we have it finished.
Matt Nace and Randy Goodling had their Wheel Dan and their Wheel Horse tow truck at the show. We snapped a few more photos and couldn't pass up on the oppurtunity to shoot some HD video on the units. They are definitely a couple of great guys to talk to. Matt dropped a hint that he has another idea up his sleeve but he wouldn't say anymore, even if he did I wouldn't tell. I am sure it will be top notch.
Here is their Wheel-Dan and Wheel Horse Wrecker:
We also want to thank Joseph Menko from Whately, MA who took me around the show on his sulky pulled by his 1967 Wheel Horse Model 1057. Thanks for taking the time to allow us to shoot footage from a different view.
We also took over 250 photos from the show, we have all of them uploaded to the GTtalk Gallery under the 12th Annual Wheel Horse Show in the 2010 Events section. I know video and pictures speak more then words and I will let them do the talking. Here are a few pics from the show and you can view all of the pictures from the show under the 12th Annual Wheel Horse Show gallery.
