Well the cold got about half of my tomatoes last night had them cover but no lamps to keep them warm. Picked a 1 1/2 bushel of green ones off, And will make more green mater pickles and some pies from them. The plants under plastic with heat lamps did great, Still trying to have ripe tomatoes for Christmas.

Dale that's great having 4 plants still giving you tomatoes . Are they special heat lamps ? Every year I try something new to extend the season or start eairler . Could you post some pics of your set-up ? Thanks Al

Will try the picture taking again. What I did was 3 wire cattle panels and nailed them to railroad ties then covered them with heavy clear plastic with 2 shop lights ( with heat lamps) so far it has worked, We will see how low the temperature can go.

Sounds like a long season for the tomatoes. I too would like to see the photos of your set up.
