Took 6 months to get my 1655 rebuilt and running great. I found an old Bolens 1050 snow blower and rebuilt it and hooked it up to the Massey 1655. Everything runs great EXCEPT - you guessed it, snow blower runs backward. Is there a "gizzmo" to change the pto from clockwise to counter clockwise before it gets to the snow blower? I have about 12 inches where I could mount something between the 1655 and the snow blower.

Hate it when that happens.
Only thing I can think of is a reverser gear box but we are talking a few bucks for that.

Thats too bad Gary. If you could post some pictures of your setup it might make it easier for people to envision possible solutions.

You could see if you can move the sprocket to the other end of the auger, then you can change the position of the drive sprocket to face the other way.

when I took the Ariens blower off the MF 1655 and mounted it onto my MF GC 2300 I too had that problem with the blower running backwards.I did end up buying a reverse gear box from hub city and it did cost a few $$$.However I do use it on the GC 2300 now as its my main tractor to use. The cost for the gear box was way less then if I was to have bought a different blower that would have turned the proper rotation.Larry

Thanks for the picture Larry. That makes it a lot easier to see how you fit it in there. Nice job!

Thanks for the picture and info Larry. It looks as if it would have come from the factory. Nice work.
