I got some great news this last week.  We were noticed at the Portland Gas and Steam engine show some years ago by the magazine  Lawn And Garden Collectors or LAGC.  We had many Dille & McGuire items on show and Kate Goelzhauser Editor of the mag took down the basics for a story about our collection and 1 push reel mower owned by Charlie McGuire.  This mower was never sold and was given to his uncle right off the assembly line.  Upon his passing the mower was past down to Charlie.  Charlie gave us the mower and the story behind it.  Kate liked our display and wanted to do a story on the company.  So in this January's issue, hopefully we will start a small series of articles about the company starting with this mower from Charlie.   The mower dates to 1938. One of a kind handle we do believe.

ok  here is a flyer from 1959 Dille & McGuire Company.  Make note we have a tr4 rider and a tr3 rider in our collection. I might add the young man in the photos as a model is a worker for the company.  When we set up at the Richmond show This man introduced himself as the model.  We had  a photo taken of him in the pose with the mower we own like, the shot in the booklet where the mower is on its back wheels lifted up to work on the deck.

Congrats on your article in LAGT magazine. Glad you were able to find more information on the Dille and McGuire company. I love the wooden handle on the Turfmaster.

Got a new manual today for the F&N lawn mower company.  This company was bases also in Richmond Indiana and was Dille & Mcguires largest competitor.  I will put some photos on this sight of their mowers in the catalogue  from 1941.

here are a few more. Might note some of the mowers are steel wheels, and the new models are rubber wheels.  Very colorful machines,  hope these also give you guys a reference as to what they looked lioke new if you wanted to paint one up to look new again.
