Anyone fab up a 3 or larger GT bottom moldboard plow for their cat 1 tractor? Heres the deal, Id like to participate in one of these plow days but unfortunately my 2 "garden tractors" are a bit bigger than GTs, they are 25 hp compacts and use the big plows, but from conversations with some, these big plows cause the GT guys all sorts of problems and cant be used at these events, so I was thinking if I was able to construct a plow using GT bottoms they might let my machines come and join in on the fun. Can it be done?

Dan made a 2 furrow plough, I expect he will be long in a bit. It worked well!

Hey there Jim, glad you're still checking in! Yes JS, you could put together a multiple bottom plow using Brinly or other makes of GT size plows. They come in all sizes, but the easiest size to find is the Brinly 10" sleeve hitch style. Tried finding my build thread but can't find it.

I found that thread, but thought I had an article on the build. In the articles I've done, I see a couple pics of my build, but it's under "Proper Way to Setup a Moldboard Plow". Somehow something got scrambled, as when I did the "How To", I didn't include any pics at all. :confuse:

That's a good idea JS, two 10 inch plows are probably going to be close to your limit with that 25 HP compact tractor. Daniel's 2 bottom plow is exactly what you're looking for though. I just hope he finds his pictures.

Plans are in progress for a twin 10" Brinly like Daniel built and also working on a 6 or 7 bottom 8" for the 4855 build. That will be for show but when we get all done here we will wind up with a chisel plow to make the 4855 a work tractor at home.
We will keep you posted.

Hey Daniel, did you check with the pruning twins (George and Alan)? Mabey one of the two of them took care of it? LOL
