well im back from the action. there was a nice jacobson chief 1000 there with flat tires. I wanted it for no more than 50 but it ended up leaving for 80 with another family. There also was a john deere 420 farm tractor that was all rust that went for 3400. And a bunch of other stuff, I did end up getting a tool box from the JD for 4 bucks and a vice for 9.

At least you got something , I gave up going to auctions around here , people were paying almost as much for used stuff as you could get it new! Al

That's the way it is here many times. One auction sells at decent prices, others go crazy & hit retail! Then there's those that forget while bidding to figure in the buyer's premium! I much prefer the "NO buyer's premium" auctions, and seems that many auction companies around here are dropping buyer's premium sales.

I refuse to go to an auction with a buyers premium.

I'm the same way, unless there's something I'm Really interested in. I also don't like auctions that draw a bunch of Amish folks (of course around here, they all do)
If one of those guys decides he wants something, there's no point in trying to bid against him.... because he will win :wallbanging:
