Ok. my last post about a model 43 blade working on a 68' 110 wasn't correct. The blade is actually a model 42. I couldn't see the mounting system the way it was in the shed. After getting it home and into my garage I figure out that it is a model 42 instead. As you can see in the following pics this blade is set up for 67' and older 110's and 112's.

So my question is as follows.

How do I get the blade from here.......

To a fully functional plow. Isn't there a bracket that I need to get to mount it to a 68' 110 tractor or even a 69'112? Or is it even possible.

Sorry for bad pics. my garage isn't very well lit up yet.

The 42 will not work on the SF 110. There might be an adapter out there but I would guess it would be hard to find. I would expect someone with fabrication skills could make an adapter. If it were me I would sell it and find the right one for your tractor = Model 43 and it will work on the SF 110/112 and 200 series tractors. You would need a model 37/37a snow blower if you are looking for one.

Deere did make an adapter for the 42 blade to mount to a square fender tractor, but they're NLA and finding an used one would be next to impossible. I would see about selling that one and finding a 43 blade.

This might fit the bill. How far are you from Omaha?

42" John Deere Front Blade 110? 200, 300 Series?

Ya a snow blower would be nice. I would rather have one of those. But the blades are cheaper and more my price range.

I found one closer for $175 near Des Moines.

And to all. Ya That is what I figured. And the guy I was going to get this from has 2 RF 112's and a RF 110. We figured if I couldn't get it to work on the 110 or 112 SF's we would just put it on a the RF 112's. Since he is more into larger farm tractors than the smaller garden tractors I have been working on his garden tractors getting them running.

I'm getting the 68 110 and the blade in trade for the work. But since it won't work i'll get the tractor. And take some cash and put towards a 43 blade or 37/37a blower.

I found a model 43 blade for $140 in good condition and going to go pick it up sunday. He also had everything else I needed to finish the front lift assembly for $50. Which includes the 3/4" front lift rod, pivot and link.

We are just going to save those model 42 blades for his RF 112's when I get em running.
