What tires for the front?

Chris,
With the Farmall Cub set up with the snow blade, we were dug out before we were buried lol. Only wish that stupid pine tree next to the driveway would have held the snow better while I was changing gears beneath it... Lol
It's front tires are 4.00-12 Tri ribs and they cut and did well, except for the excessively deep dry cracks... They look almost flat under load from the front blade being raised. Sourcing USA tires for the front now.

man i wish the pine trees up by my cabin held the sown better i got buried me on my winter four wheeler

Just an update.

It was found with the large temperature fluctuations we have and the corresponding air pressure changes that go along with that, I was unable to keep the single roller chains on the front tires. Ended up putting regular 2 link chains in the front instead and have had not further problems with the chains coming off.   

 

How well do the 2 links work? I have an extra set of chains I've been thinking about cutting down for the front tires.
