Barn Find today - 2 JD 140's and implements

Mark,

I agree with the tractor (not having the weights on), being either a '68 or '69, but I don't agree with the other tractor being a '74. John Deere used the push-on hub cover for the front wheels up until 1970. After this they used the bolt-on hub covers. Both of your tractors have the push-on type covers. Personally, I believe you have a '68 140 (non-weighted tractor) and a '70 140. When you get a chance sometime, post the serial numbers, so that we can help you out with determining the correct years.

Nive find! You got a lot of good stuff there, that isn't seen everyday.

We did some sleuthing on another thread in the JD section and determined it to be a 1968 model.

Based on the serial number, the other (weighted) tractor appears to be a 1969 model. It does have the steering brakes.
