Hi Guys,

I was fortunate enough to have the first opportunity to acquire some John Deere 140 tractors and implements that were listed on Craigslist in a nearby town.

One tractor was running two years ago, and other has been stored in a shed for past decade or two.

John Deere 140 H3 (1974?)
John Deere 140 H3 (1969?)
Mower deck
John Deere 10 cart
Hydraulic 3 point lift
#33 tiller
Haban 416 Sickle Mo
Brinly Plow
Brinly disk harrow
Brinly cultivator

That's one heck of a haul. Every piece looks like it was cared for at least. The tractors seem to be complete and the implements too.

Very cool. Thanks for the pictures.

Is the sickle all there, looks like some of the stuff is just in the background?

Thank you, the sickle is all there, I am still trying to figure it out.

Thank you. We don't see too many 140's in Washington state. It was a very unusual find.

Hi Kenny, to be honest, I don't know if I have the hitch for the plow. Still learning about this stuff. It is like Xmas, except a month early.

Is the tiller white or yellow, it hard to tell from the photo. It almost looks like a Custom Color (PATIO) model.

Looks white to me Texas deere and I'm not sure but it sort of looks like the hood is blue on the front were it is broke but
I can't see it good and it has flat wheels that puts it in the correct time frame

I think the tiller was painted. It is green, however the chain/gear cover is white. I will scrape some green paint off tomorrow and see if it is white underneath. maybe it is a Patio?

The older 140 has blue/green and weird yellow paint. Quite different than the newer 140.

Dig around tomorrow under the battery box and under the seat pan to see if you can find any white paint. I have a couple hoods off of 140's that have that same weird blue tint to them, but their not Patio hoods. Good Luck, I hope you got a 69 Patio. Best place to check is under the ID tag. you can push out the rivets from inside the dash tower. Then you can reuse them and not damage the tag.
