Hello. I have a 1968 110 serial #102534 with a K181S and was looking to outfit it with a model 43 snow blade. But after looking over a friends 1969 112 with an HH100 that is already outfitted for a snow blade. There is a difference in the Rock Shaft I guess is what you would call it. I have included pics to show differences.

Here is the 110 Rock Shaft.

And here is the Rock shaft out of the 112.

Notice the helper spring notch is on the 112 rock shaft and not the 110.

Did 110's even have the option of having the helper spring being installed? Or were there 2 possible rock shafts one with helper spring and one without helper spring notch.

Or can I just install a 112 Rock shaft onto my 110 and be good to go for the helper spring?

And which lift linkage should I get the 3/4" or the 3/8" arm? Or can they still be purchased through online retailers other than John Deere since it is NLA. Or would I be better off getting used one?

Or is it just a lost cause putting a snow blade on a 8hp 68 110.

There are some slight differences in the 110 and 112 rock shaft, but the 112 rock shaft should fit in your 110. Here is the diagram of the area.

I just parted out a '68 110. A guy on wfm named Dustin has it now. He did post a for sale ad last week or so wanting to sell it. Maybe you can go over to wfm and give him a call. PM me and I can give you his phone number.

I found the ad and his phone # is listed on ad. It looks like he wants to sell it as is and pick up only. Wish I had a trailer, I would just go get the whole thing.

How soon do you want the lift shaft?
I'm in the middle of converting a '68 112 from manual to hydraulic lift and have an extra shaft with the hook for the helper spring. If the 110 lift shaft falls through, you can have this one if you pay shipping. I'm pretty sure I don't have an extra helper spring, but I'll look.
