Was looking thru some junk stuff tonight. Scrap steel, odd & ends bolts and 2 wheels off something like a tiller. One wheel had a tag on the bolt (loosly) that had
"BOLENS DIVISION
Food Machinery
And Chemical Corp"
With the guy crossing his arms and the number F14001

Does this mean this is a Bolens (firestone) wheel or is this tag off something else?

OK, Here You go. The wheel has chew marks in it from some critter or another and the hub is stiff. The tag was on there just as you see it, i did clean off a little of the dirt.

Thanks for the pictures Allen.

I'm not much a bolens expert, BUT

I think what you got yourself there, is a very old wheel, with a bolens tag on it.

I think we should try to find out more info about it.:smile1:

Well, I could tell that the wheel was from the 50's/ early 60's due to the ID tag. So I pulled out my service and sales manual and looked for the model #. I got lucky as The cultivator was on the 2nd page I flipped to :D

That "F" number tag is the model tag for a cultivator? Neat. Thanks for finding that. I'll see if theres any more of it around.
