hey guys i'm a new member and am really enjoying the site.i bought a john deere 212 a few days ago at a good deal and had to spend a couple hours getting it running.it runs pretty good and it is a gear drive trans that is good.i also got a 38in deck and a 31in tiller with it,and the operators manual for the tractor and the operators manual for the tiller and the service manual for the tractor.its in pretty good shape has a few scratches and scuffs but overall pretty good.the trans and variator work like they are supposed to.can anyone tell me what its worth?even if its just a ballpark figure.i have a friend who is wanting me to trade it to him tommorow evenin and i just want to make sure i'm not getting burnt.if someone could give me a cash value it would really help me out because i'm new to jd's.thanks for any help.chris

I paid $300 for my tiller that included the rear lift and tiller mule drive. The value of the tractor alone could be almost anywhere from $200 - $600 from my experiences. It really depends on the shape and how much it has been abused. Just my 2 cents.

it depends on your area the 212 I seen in my area from 300 to 650. rollers from 50 to 150. tillers without mule drive and lift 150 to 250. with mule drive and till around 250. mule drive 75 - 150

I would say $600-$800 for a running tractor and complete tiller.(just a guess from what i've seen them go for)

I agree with ckjakline. If in decent shape, running good, and with the tiller and mower deck, I wouldn't get rid of it for less than $800.00.
