Whole lotta shakin going on down here! Been quite a few small shakes coming from the same area for some time. They now say this was a 5.6. Lots on the news about it.

Just reading it was a 5.6! That's scary!

Yikes watch out for sure. Isn't that unusual for your area?

That area has been having lots of small tremors for quite awhile. But they are getting bigger. Just highly unusual for something this big, Sure got me out of bed.

Hope you all are done shaking around down there Kenny, stay safe. Ya suppose all that fracking there doing for natural gas out east has anything to do with the quakes your getting? Makes me wonder. I'm not sold on that process at all!!! Take care.

That's a possibility. Lot of feedback says it might be caused from that.

A bit more facts about the year around here:

Guess it stands to reason that the earthquake last night was the strongest on record for our state at a magnitude of 5.6. This year has been a year of records for Oklahoma: we have recorded the coldest temperature ever, the most snow ever( for 24 hours and for a season), the hottest summer ever, and one of the worst droughts ever.....all during 2011 and the year is not over yet!

Has this upset your sleep pattern in any way, Kenny?
Should I make a big effort to try to get up before you tommorrow?

I doubt you will have to make an effort, Will. Only got about 5 hrs. total last nite. Probably sleep in tomorrow, barring any more quakes.
