Looking good, Dan. Just keep plugging along, you'll get there. I usually mess up when I get in a hurry to finish.

Measure twice, cut once.

When I reinvented the 3point with stand off bracket for my GT, I did a bit of a mawkup
out of wood and nails, to make sure it worked, before too much fab work.

Keep up the good work.

I worked all day on it and got a lot done on the 3 point. I have to make the lower clevis and bend the lower lift arms. Then all I need is the upper 3 point link. Not sure how I am going to do that yet. I painted the grill also.

Nice Dan, if it works half as good as it looks, you've got a winner.

What activates / powers the lift? Is it manual or are you adding hydraulics?

I am going to use the electric hydraulic unit that was an option for the MF10

Well I spent all day on it again and only worked on the 3 point. I just about got it done but ran out of steel for the top link. Once I get that done I have to put the lift linkage and power unit in. I wish I was a mechanical engineer so I knew how to figure some of this out. My power unit has a 4 1/2 stroke so I have to figure out if that will raise my lift arms as high as they need. I guess I will just have to be a trial and error engineer. This would make a good pulling tractor as I have added a lot of weight to the back end.

What color should I paint the 3 point? Flint so it looks like part of the tractor or red so it stands out.

I would say probably the flint.thats what the big ones did.The nicks and scratches wont be as noticably(if you plan on using 3pt).

I worked an hour and a half on it tonight. I put the transmission back on so I could make sure everything fits, wheels etc. It does. I worked on the lift linkage and had to modify the frame a little. my son did some of the grinding for me. Next I have to drill 2- 1 3/8" holes in the frame, any body have a 1 3/8 drill bit I can borrow? I am going to mount bearings in the frame for the lift linkage cross shaft.

I am at a stand still until I get some Bearings so I worked on the Faux front end weights last night. I took a full size weight and traced it onto a paper, then I reduced it 50% which looks to be about right. I cut them out and have to router out the sides to look like the original and then figure out what to coat them with so they look like metal.

Worked a couple hours on the lift link and the bracket to hold the hydraulic unit. This part is coming along slow. No photos tonight.

Thanks for the pics of the fab on the 3point. It will make a really nice addition to the tractor.

Just curious, how are you making out with the lift?
