So ever since getting my first two-wheeler over the summer, I have had fond thoughts of never having to shovel my driveway again. My father had an old tractor that his dad made out of old car parts and a 10hp Wisconsin. My dad dug his foundation with it and blew the transmission, leaving it to rust away in the woods for the last 30 years. We spent the weekend removing the plow and setting up a tongue and pivot to attach it with. Here are the results:

It's 4' wide and weighs an easy 110 lbs. I almost can't wait for the snow just to try it out. I do need to set up a counterweight so I can lift the blade a little easier.

That's the ticket right there, beats the heck out of using a shovel. A counterweight will be helpful for you, and it will help the tractor ballast the weight of the blade.

Yep, it's beautiful. I'm figuring three swipes on the driveway and a couple short swipes beside it for company. I did a little playing in the dirt with it yesterday once it was all fit up and it didn't skip a beat.
