i just went thru a bit of a learning curve when i restored a Brinly 10" plow (PP-510) and a Brinly cultivator (CC
i listened to peoples advice and took plenty of "BEFORE" pics, itemized nuts & bolts etc. so i could re-assembly them properly.
i had both sandblasted and primed; i painted both back to the original Brinly colour scheme and they look great (behind a JD
at this point, i haven't used either but they will be workers and NOT just for display.
so ... they came apart very easily. putting them back together - well, not so easy. The parts of the plow are heavy, making it very awkward to put together by myself withhout scratching the paint. Getting things to line up just right is a big PIA so develop patience. I truly believe i have invented a few NEW 4-lettered words!
no matter what colours you pick, EXPECT the plow will require touchups.
my vote ... even tho i'm a purist, is to paint the plow red & grey. please post pics when you're done.
