hi guys i'm new to the forum.i buy sell and trade and collect garden tractors.i picked this up yesterday.it's a hunter the only info i can find is that it was probably made by lambert in ohio around 1963.it has been repowered at some point with a pull start 8hp briggs.it runs good and the trans is smooth.it is belt drive from the motor to the trans and then chain drive to the rear axle.seems to be a really strong little tractor.anybody have any experience with them?also kinda wondering how much it is worth as i might possibly sell it.it has also been repainted at some point.i think the original color was green.any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

Welcome, Chris. Cool tractor, I haven't heard of that one. But I learn something new here everyday. It would be nice to see a larger pic of it.

:welcome: to the group Chris ! Glad you found us and joined up!
I am not for sure but I think that Hunter was before Lambert bought the company. I believe that the name Tom Moore might be involved in these tractors past also. I have a Lambert model 666 and believe it dates to 1965 or so. It looks quite similar to yours except my rear fenders cover more of the wheel. They are neat little tractors. Lambert had these tractors for only a few years. The company is still in business making lawn sweepers and such but not garden tractors.
As to value it would be hard to say.

Soon as I saw the pic, Lambert came to mind. Pre-Lambert would have to be a rare bird!

That's a nice tractor.... one I hadn't heard of before. Thanks for showing it! I'll be interested to learn about this one.

 Wesleyeilts! Welcome to GTTalk! It's great to have you with us! That seems to be a very unusual tractor and now there are at least 2 that we know of! We'd love to see some pics when you get the chance! Thanks for signing up!
